MRM Mobile Solution

INTRODUCTION

The concept of ERP is to distribute functions of the business, to the areas where these functions are actioned, e.g. Sales doing sales invoices instead of Finance. MRM takes ERP to areas where it has not gone before:
Shelves of the Storeroom, Production floor, Goods Receipt bay, Customers for deliveries on a real time basis.


SOLUTION
MRM is a mobile extension of your ERP system, integrates on a real time basis and allows the user to work faster, smarter and more accurate making use of scanning and barcode technology to limit chances of error. Originally developed as extension to SAP Business One, it integrates fully with SAP, with the option to integrate with other ERP Systems directly or through the MRM WEB API. Processes are based on Best Practice knowledge as provided by SAP. MRM makes use of 1D (Barcodes), 2D (QR Codes) or RFID (UHF) scanning to read data from the source. Further to this MRM interprets Serial Numbers, Batch numbers and multiple Units of Measure for accurate stock management. MRM also provides a Time Management system that can be either Stand Alone or incorporated into Production and Project management for improved cost accounting.


TECHNOLOGY
The MRM mobile App makes use of smart scanners running Android 6 and higher. The App connects to a Web portal, used for management of all
functions and integration into the ERP system making use of API’s The scanners normally provided, have WI-FI and mobile data capability allowing users to move around freely. This is especially useful for real time delivery confirmation.

AREAS OF USE

Stock Management
MRM provides functionalities for all areas of stock management:

  • Goods Receipting and Returns
  • Bin Location management
  • Stock Transfers
  • Stock Takes
  • Ad hoc Issuing and Receiving of goods

 

Advanced Stock Counting

MRM allows:

·       Multiple users to count stock simultaneously.

·       Multiple counts can be set up and managed.

·       Once counts have been finalized the final count is posted to the ERP system.

 

Logistics Management

MRM provides thee following functionalities for Logistic:

·       Pick of Items from warehouse

·       Packing functionality of Items into delivery packages eg: (Multiple items in a box)

·       Route planning based on customer delivery areas.

·       Dispatching – Allocating and scanning orders/packs onto assigned vehicles.

·       Deliveries – Process deliveries of orders with customer signature on device as proof of delivery.



Field Service Management

MRM has a Service Management module allowing service technicians to manage and use their boot stock as required. They can:

·       Create Service Calls

·       Remove Faulty Items

·       Use replacement Items.

·       Return Faulty Items

·       Do Stock Count of Boot Stock

·       Transfer Faulty Items for Repairs

·       Use parts on repairs from stores. 

 

 

Production Management
MRM provides the following functionality for production management:

  • Issuing of goods from the Store to Production, based on a Production Order / Job card
  • Consumption of goods.
  • Receiving Finished Goods from Production into stores
  • Creating/scanning Batch and Serial numbers for accurate utilization
  • Time management can be added to the Production for accurate cost accounting.


Time Management
The Time management allows users to scan themselves to log time or log time the time manually on the Web portal. This can be used in general as a clocking system or can be used to specifically book time against jobs or project milestones as required.

 

These above-mentioned functions can also be integrated into any other ERP system / Accounting package.



SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The MRM Solution caters for customers’ specific requirements and as it is locally developed, specific customization to the software is possible and easily managed. The solution currently caters for Bin Location Management, Batch and Serial No management (with different packaging sizes) as well as GTIN128 compliance for the use in the Medical Industry.
